Known as the plant that ended the life of Socrates, it was also called the witches' weed, appearing in old grimoires, potions, and rites of Hecate. Though outwardly delicate, hemlock reminds us that true power is often hidden beneath an unassuming appearance.
This piece imagines the Hemlock Kin as a quiet guardian of Banewood, weaving together botanical studies, symbols of Hecate, forgotten marshlands, and the plant's long association with poison, restraint, and ancient witchcraft.
Printed on 315 gsm Smooth 100% Cotton Archival paper, enhancing the richness of every detail, while its acid and lignin-free composition is designed to preserve the artwork for generations.
