Observed on the Thirty-Fourth Day
Subject: Meiren Kin: Belladonna Kin Realm: Banewood, Palace of the Afterlight
A museum-quality print of my original graphite drawing, Meiren, Belladonna Kin Fairy (second vision).
Also known as deadly nightshade, Atropa belladonna has carried an eerie reputation for centuries. Its glossy black berries and violet flowers conceal powerful poisonous compounds capable of altering vision, perception, and consciousness. Its botanical name invokes Atropos, one of the three Fates in Greek mythology, the one who cuts the thread of life.
Born into a role others expect her to inherit, Meiren's story quietly asks what happens when destiny has already been written for you, but you no longer wish to follow it. Her journey is entwined with the abandoned Archives of the Afterlight, forgotten visions, and truths that may have been waiting much longer than she realizes.
