A museum-quality print of my original graphite drawing, Sylenne, Observed on the Ninth Day.
For centuries, the rose has carried many meanings, from love and devotion to grief and remembrance. Hidden within its folklore is the phrase sub rosa, Latin for "under the rose," a symbol of secrecy and confidential knowledge.
This piece imagines the Rose Kin as a devoted guardian of Crimson Briar, where beauty and thorns exist in quiet balance. Woven throughout the drawing are symbols of secrecy, devotion, protection, and the hidden truths carried within the rose.
Printed on 315 gsm Smooth 100% Cotton Archival paper, enhancing the richness of every detail, while its acid and lignin-free composition is designed to preserve the artwork for generations.
